I started photography around the age of 7. At that time I probably didn't think too much of it. I enjoyed shooting film, and was slowly understanding the elements of photography very early on. I was in grade five and 9 years old when we got our first computer, and the internet with a 28.8k modem. I had learned how to code my first website at this time and had transitioned away from photography to graphic design, and communication technologies.

By high school, I was well versed with a few different programming languages and enjoyed web design and graphic design. At this time I picked up a digital point and shoot Kodak. It was 4 mega pixels and actually very slow and not pleasing. It made me realize how good film really was.

I went through college to be a graphic designer and still to this day, enjoy print. However, it was getting through design that brought back my love of photography. I was designing annual reports and working on marketing campaigns. Seeing the high quality photographs we had used in our designs made me envious of those with the creative strengths to take those photos. This is when I finally adopted digital fully in an SLR. It took me working at a camera store after this to grow in technical knowledge and shooting professionally. I've made a lot of friends and contacts, shooting for fashion shows, clothing companies, events, landscapes and even weddings. I will of course always love portraiture work.

I am now the educator for many friends, fellow professional photographers, and clients.
